Physical Capacity Profile® Testing

What is a Physical Capacity Profile® Test?

The PCP Testing System is a collection of 28 maximum strength measurements that are used to provide objective baseline data about an employee’s maximum performance. Developed and patented by orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Gary Harbin, the testing system is designed to help in reducing work related injuries and the associated workers compensation expenses. Currently the PCP Testing System is used by medical teams for Post Offer or Pre-Placement testing, Fit for Duty, and Functional Capacity Evaluations.

Examples of body and strength measurements conducted:

  • Comprehensive Medical Review
  • Biometrics
  • Upper Extremity Strength
  • Lower Extremity Strength
  • Trunk Strength
  • Lumbar Range of Motion
  • Lower Extremity Mobility
  • Maximum Lifting Capacity
