Meet the Staff

Jennifer Brockhoff – Director Advanced Health Services

As the director of Advanced Health Services, Jennifer oversees all day to day operations of the clinic and its programs. She has been with Advanced Health Services since its origination, essentially starting the department from scratch. As a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant and Athletic Trainer, she is extremely knowledgeable in the world of healthcare and can assist you in finding a solution to almost any occupational or sports medicine problem that you may encounter. Tyler Heintzelman  – Athletic Trainer, Technician

Tyler graduated from Washburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2015. As a Certified Athletic Trainer, Tyler’s primary job is to work with area schools and their athletic programs. He provides game coverage and injury clinics for local middle and high schools. He also conducts ImPACT testing for area schools to assist them and their athletic programs with concussion management. Tyler also works in the clinic as a technician. Tyler is qualified to perform physical capacity profile testing, spirometry tests (certified through NIOSH), DOT drug and DOT breath alcohol screenings, as well as hearing testing (certified through COHC).

Logan Lauer – Athletic Trainer, Technician

Logan joined the Advanced Health Services team in September 2014 after graduating from Washburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training.  As a Certified Athletic trainer, Logan provides game coverage, runs injury clinics and oversees ImPACT testing.  As a technician, Logan performs physical capacity profile testing (PCP), spirometry tests (certified through NIOSH), DOT drug and DOT breath alcohol screening, as well as hearing testing (certified through COHC).

Brandon Pokrandt – Athletic Trainer, Technician

After graduating from Washburn University with a Bachelor of Arts in Athletic Training, Brandon joined the staff at Advanced Health Services in July of 2018. As a Certified Athletic Trainer, Brandon’s primary job is to work with the local schools’ athletic teams, providing medical coverage on game days as well as injury clinics throughout the week. Brandon also conducts ImPACT testing for area schools to assist them and their athletic programs with concussion management. When he isn’t helping at the schools, he serves as a technician in the clinic. Brandon is qualified to perform a number of tests and screens in the clinic, including physical capacity profile testing, spirometry tests (certified through NIOSH), DOT drug and DOT breath alcohol screenings, as well as hearing testing (certified through COHC).

Jeff Hale – Athletic Trainer, Technician

Jeff joined the Advanced Health Services team in July of 2017. Jeff graduated from Washburn University with a Bachelor of Science in Athletic Training in 2015. Upon graduating from Washburn, Jeff went on to receive his Masters of Science in Health and Human Performance from Pittsburg State University in 2019. As a Certified Athletic Trainer, Jeff’s Primary job is to work with the local schools’ athletic teams, providing medical coverage on game days as well as injury clinics throughout the week. Jeff also conducts ImPACT testing for area schools to assist them and their athletic programs with concussion management. When he isn’t helping at the schools, he serves as a technician in the Advanced Health Clinic. Jeff is qualified to perform a number of tests and screens in the clinic, including physical capacity profile testing (PCP), spirometry tests (certified through NIOSH), DOT drug and DOT breath alcohol screenings, as well as hearing testing (certified through COHC).

Jessie Scholz – LPN

Jessie joined the Advanced Health Services team January of 2019 after working in General surgery clinic for 9 ½ years and she has been with the Atchison Hospital for 12 years. Jessie is with Advanced Health Services to assist Dr. Rizza and Ryan Hoeksema PA-C with daily clinic tasks that also include assisting with procedures, drawing labs and giving immunizations. Jessie is also qualified to perform DOT drug and DOT breath alcohol testing on top of her general nursing duties.

Jennifer Ostertag – RT (R)

Jenny joined the Advanced Health Services team July of 2015. Jenny graduated from Hillyard Technical Center Radiology program in 2011 as a Certified Radiologic technologist. She then continued her education and graduated in 2013 from Ottawa University with her Bachelors in healthcare management. Jenny is the Office Coordinator for Advanced Health Services, some of her responsibilities include, patient and company communication, Occupational Health billing, Facilitating and assisting with the HIMS program and she also works as the front desk receptionist. On top of Jenny’s general duties, she is also certified to perform DOT drug and DOT breath alcohol testing.
